Homestay Amsterdam - your home away from home!

Get a local point of view of one of the most charming cities of the world: Amsterdam

Why stay at a hotel or hostel when you can share a nice house with a local "Amsterdammer".

About the house:

Grotere kaart weergeven

* Located on the edge of the centre of Amsterdam
* 15 minutes walking to the centre or 5-10 minutes by bike
* Supermarkets, foodshops, bakery, restaurants, bars, clubs, cafés, sandwichshops, musea, the park, trainstation, public transport... everything within 5 minutes walking
* 1 livingroom, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom/toilet, 1 kitchen and a very large garden to relax outside...

Homestay = staying at the house together with the owner. You share the house together.

Typically, homestay is a rich and rewarding experience that allows the sharing of cultures, information, and experience. You are totally free to go your own way, but if you want you can ask us everything about Amsterdam, about The Netherlands, our culture, our food, where you really want to go in Amsterdam and the things you want to avoid (the 'tourist-traps').

We were born and we live in Amsterdam, so we know every detail there is to know about our city!

You will stay in the livingroom, which we transform to a nice and comfortable bedroom which can sleep up to 4-5 people, depending on your group:

1-2 people is really spacious
3 people is cozy
4-5 people is possible but you better be good friends :-)

The bedroom is private for the owner. The livingroom is private for you (and your group). We never host different groups together, so it is just you and your friends.

You share the kitchen, the bathroom/toilet and the garden with the owner.

Prices are:

1 person = 30 euro per night (maximum stay is 6 nights)
2 persons = 25 euro per person per night (maximum stay is 5 nights)
3 persons = 22,50 euro per person per night (maximum stay is 5 nights)
4-5 persons = 20 euro per person per night (maximum stay is 4 nights)

More nights only on request

If you are wondering if this is expensive, please have a look at the hostel websites of Amsterdam: http://www.hostelsamsterdam.com
You will see that staying at a dormitory with 6 - 10 beds will cost around 20 euro per person per night.
Staying in a (budget) hotel is even more expensive: for a basic double room you pay around 70 euro per night for 2 persons, see for example http://www.booking.com

So homestay is not only a fun and exciting way to discover the true identity of Amsterdam, it is also cheaper than staying in a hotel or hostel...
